Just three years after the release of his single, “SAD!” it has been announced by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) that the single is now certified Diamond. The track sold over 10,000,000 units and peaked at number 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 following his death. This made X the first to earn a number 1 posthumously on Hot 100 since Notorious B.I.G.
SAD! was released in March of 2018 and was originally released as the leading single on X’s album titled “?” The rapper’s album is certified 3x platinum.
SAD is the rapper’s biggest single to date, accumulating approximately 148 million views on its music visual. RIP to XXXTentacion; his music will live on forever.
