Britney Spears engaged to long term beau.
It’s Britney B! Shared the news on Instagram Sunday to announce her boyfriend of 5 years, Sam Asghari proposed. “I can’t f**king believe it,” she captioned the video with multiple ring emojis.
The two first linked up in 2016 after meeting on the set of the pop star’s’ “Slumber Party” music video. According to Page six, Asghari’s manager, Brandon Cohen of BAC Talent confirmed the post in the following statement.
“The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them.” Adding, “Roman Malayev from NYC is the ring designer. He couldn’t be more happier [sic] to be involved and make this a one-of-a-kind ring.”
Reportedly Asghari who is 27, popped the question to 39-year-old Spears at her home with a 4-carat round brilliant stone in a platinum cathedral setting, enhanced with a floating solitaire design. It even has Asghari’s nickname for Britney Spears, “Lioness,” engraved inside the band.
This comes after Spears testified in court that she wanted to get married but claimed her ongoing conservatorship kept her from doing so. Last week, Spears’ father filed paperwork asking a Los Angeles court to “seriously consider” whether his daughter’s conservatorship “is no longer required” after 13 years.
