The iPhone 13 was, however, the star of the show. Apple debuted two Pro models: the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. Both have Apple’s new A15 Bionic chip, which Ceo Tim Cook claimed is the “fastest CPU in any smartphone.” The powerful new chip provides faster processing speeds and greater machine learning capabilities, such as real-time video analysis and analyzing text in photos. Both models boast improved wide and ultrawide cameras and 77 mm telephoto lens with three times optical zoom.’ the pro model doubles Apple’s storage capacity, offering a one terabyte storage option and a five-core CPU that offers 50% faster graphics in addition to a bright Super Retna XDR display.

Prices for the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models start at $999 and $1,099, respectively. (The extra one terabyte of storage on the iPhone Pro Max adds another $500 to the price tag.) Both models will be available in graphite, gold, silver, and sierra blue colors.

At a slightly lower price point, the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini are an upgrade on the iPhone 12, but with a battery that will reportedly last 2.5 times longer than the iPhone 12. Both models also have the same A15 Bionic chip as the Pro models. Like the iPhone 12, the iPhone 13 and iPh9one 13 mini will both have dual-camera systems arranged diagonally. However, the new 5G chip is said to provide a more efficient display and a tool called Cinematic Mode, which is similar to the Portrait mode feature on the iPhone 12 but will be for videos. Pricing for the iPhone 13 mini begins at $699 for 128 GB, and the iPhone 13 starts at $799, with a base of 128 GB. Both models come in five colors: pink, blue, black, white, and red.

All iPhone models will be available for preorder on Friday, September 17, and begin shipping on Friday, September 24.

Apple also debuted the new iPad and iPad mini lines. The new 10.2-inch iPad offered double the storage of prior models and increased performance at a rate of up to three times that of prior models and a Chromebook, resulting in a powerful new A13 chip. It also features a updated12MP ultrawide camera with Center Stage, an application that uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing camera during FaceTime video calls and facilitate a True Tone feature that adjusts the screen’s color temperature to ambient lighting. The 8.3-inch iPad mini got a redesign with more rounded corners, improved front and back cameras, upgraded speakers, smaller bezels, Apple’s Liquid Retina display, and USB-C support. Both models offer improved compatibility with the Apple Pencil; The full-size iPad starts at $329 for 64GB storage while the iPad mini starts at $499. (Apple is offering a special $299 pricing for schools for the regular iPad). Apple will begin taking pre-orders on Tuesday, September 21, and shipping will begin the following week.

Apple also debuted the Apple Watch Series 7. The device is the brand’s slimmest watch yet, but with a wider screen than the prior model, resulting in a display that is 20% larger than the Series 6.

Pricing for the Apple Watch Series 7 begins at $399 and will be available later this fall, although no specific release date has been set yet.

Apple also announced even more offerings on Apple TV Plus and more features (including a meditation feature) for its Fitness Plus service.
