AQ is racking up some cred as an artist on the rise, especially with his latest EP, Hollywood Hurts. AQ doubles down on his party antics but also gets introspective, reflecting on his life, like in his track “Back to Basics,” where he is “going through some changes.” AQ’s newest EP encompasses high-energy anthems and slower songs with introspective sentiments that create this duality, perfectly fitting for the project and analogy for Hollywood itself.

The seven-track project’s filled with dope fluctuations of sound as AQ versatility shines through, cementing him as one of the best of the newer wave coming in, as he is hungry to prove himself. On his new project Hollywood Hurts, AQ delivers some of his most refined work yet, with such heat like “Obsessed,” “Hollywood Hurts,” and “Too Comfortable,” just to name a few. He recruits Casey Veggies and Wavemvp on the impressive track “Back to Basics,” which is another song that adds an overall Westcoast vibe to the project. Each track showcases his talent and diversity of sound, as he comes through and annihilates every song.

AQ has been on his grind. He already released a visual for “Too Comfortable,” which has received an amazing response.

This project is very special to AQ, like all his work, but this one in particular because it deals with the duality of Hollywood, the highs and lows, being in love with the lifestyle, not getting the respect you deserve, and the sad side of Hollywood. His perspective on Hollywood takes a look at a side you rarely get to see in music, which makes this project special.

The EP’s inspired by LA culture, but more importantly, one specific night, where he was partying with Future after his Grammy win for his work on Jay Rock’s track “King’s Dead,” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Future, recreating the groove of that night.
