Legendary hip hop producer The Alchemist has recently released another brand-new EP titled This Thing of Ours 2 as a sequel to April’s EP of the same name. The short but sweet 5-track release from the critically acclaimed super-producer features appearances from the likes of Danny Brown, California’s Vince Staples, North Carolina’s MAVI, and Detroit collective headed by Dany Brown in Bruiser Brigade including J.U.S., Bruiser Wolf, Fat Ray, and Zelooperz.
The lead single “Miracle Baby” featuring NC’s MAVI had an accompanying film clip release to it last week in the lead up to the full EP release last Friday. The smooth two-and-a-half-minute offering sees MAVI going over classic Alchemist smooth producer that complements the lyrical delivery as expected – watch above. The second film clip to the EP was released this Saturday in “Lossless” featuring young prolific Brooklyn rapper MIKE on the drum-heavy minimalistic single – watch and listen below.
This year is again a very productive one from the ever-prolific The Alchemist, having already released joints albums with Armand Hammer “Haram”, the widely lauded release with Boldy James titled “Bo Jackson” as well as additional contribution production to projects from AZ, Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine and Denzel Curry amongst others too.
