Mo3’s debut film, Triple D Revenge, has released its trailer with the announcement of a red-carpet premiere being held in the late artist’s hometown of Dallas, Texas this Thursday (Oct. 21).

The film, a sequel to the 2014 original, continues the crime thrilling story of two young men seeking retribution for the sudden passing of a loved one in the drug game. The film’s title is based on the metroplex’s notorious alias, “Dirty Dirty Dallas.” The original film is available now for streaming on YouTube.

The late Mo3 plays a ruthless hitman of the film’s antagonist who is prepared to terminate anything with extreme prejudice by lethal force, according to the trailer.

The film is directed by Terrence “Mista E” Jones, who is making his directorial debut and wrote the screenplay. E also co-directed the original film, Triple D, with Juan Salas in 2014. Mo3 was cast by Mista E to star in the film following an audition and was deeply committed to the performance as an actor, says the Director.

“… I can honestly say that the film wouldn’t have — it wouldn’t feel the same if 3 wasn’t in it,” Mista E tells Jeffrey Oyeneye of Reallyfe Productions in a recent interview, shown above, about the film. “3 didn’t just come in, and because he was an artist, felt like ‘oh shit I’m here so… ya’ll got action.’ He worked his ass off, ya know I mean. Mo3, he did acting class with us and everything. He was real serious about it — he did his thing, fo sho.”

Along with Mo3, other cast members include Roderick Watson, Brandon Christle, Erica Pinkett, Aundre Dean, Akira Perkins, Ravyn Rochelle, Gabriella Arlene, with the return of K104FM radio personality Hollywood Bay Bay who starred in the original film. The sequel was produced by Nicholas Watkins, Cornelious Brock Sr, and Mista E-himself.
