Kodak Black’s recent drug test came back positive for Marijuana and Ecstacy. The rapper asked the judge for permission to perform at rolling loud. According to TMZ, the rapper violated the terms of his supervised release in his federal gun case by failing drug tests earlier this year. According to new legal docs, he tested positive for marijuana in February and then MDMA in August. Kodak was instructed to complete a 90-day treatment program and he recently got permission to spend 30 of those days outside of Florida, after claiming it would give him a better chance at success.

TMZ claims, Kodak Black asked the court to let him attend the Rolling Loud music festival in New York City this weekend and says it’s strictly for business. The judge signed off on it and gave him permission to perform at the festival. He is expected to appear on stage Friday in Queens as long as he keeps in touch with his Supervised Release Officer.

Kodak Black has been in the legal system for years. The Pompano Beach, Florida native was first arrested as a youth, and he was sent to a juvenile detention center three times in one year. In 2015, he was arrested and charged with robbery, battery, false imprisonment of a child, and possession of cannabis. He kept adding to his list of charges over the years with charges ranging from felony criminal sexual conduct and child neglect to grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

His most recent arrest was at Rolling Loud Miami in 2019 on firearm charges and he was sentenced to two to seven years in prison. As one of Donald Trump’s final acts in the Oval Office, Kodak was granted a commutation and allowed to leave United States Penitentiary, Thomson in Illinois just days later. However, the Miami rapper was still facing criminal sexual assault charges in South Carolina. Kodak pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery in April and was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
