The Minnesota-born, Los Angeles-based punk rapper has taken time over the years to perfect not just his songwriting craft, but his musicianship, artistry, and many other skills as well. “Currently I’m independent and do everything myself from recording, mixing, artwork, videos, and all business/marketing,” he shares. While he is looking forward to the day where he can find a team that helps him and allows him to focus more on his artistry, the autonomy Gill has had over the years has allowed him to craft a sound that is all his own.
On his most streamed song “Demons”, which has amassed nearly 2 million streams, the epitome of the Drawn To The Sky sound can be heard. A combination of emo lyrics and trap beats propel Drawn To The Sky songs to a whole new level. More recently, Drawn To The Sky released the single “Dopamine Death Dream”, which even adds a slight hint of hyper pop into the artist’s ever-evolving sound. For Gill, it’s all about what the listeners take away from the music. A lot of my songs focus on the struggle and heartbreak I’ve experienced in my life but turning those emotions into music has always been my biggest therapy,” he states humbly. “So, I hope it has that same effect for the people who are listening.”
