In a brief period, Zo Duncan has become a popular artist. His debut EP, Half Truths & Whole Lies, landed #3 on the iTunes UK Top R&B charts.

“What else could I ask for? My professional journey has been smooth so far. People have been receiving my music well which is all I could really ask for. From the hood to the burbs, people are rocking with my music. I am overjoyed with my accomplishments up to this point. I have a go-getter attitude and believe in putting my heart and soul into everything that I do so it really means a lot when people take the time to listen,” Zo stated.

Zo Duncan’s Creative Talents & Skills

Zo is a talented artist. He is skilled in various genres of music. His catalog includes Pop, Hip-Hop, Country, R&B, Electronic, Dancehall, and a few blends. Be sure to check his Spotify profile to get a small glimpse at some of his work. He never shies away from trying something new and innovative.

The song, Birthday Dance, has quickly gained popularity with listeners. From the elegant piano backing to the seductive lyrics, the record is an eargasm for fans. The whole EP is a press play but that song really stood out.

“I had no plans on being an artist. The goal was to be the biggest songwriter in the game, but that goal gave away too much control. I got tired of waiting for sessions, beats, records to get recorded and released, etc. The reality is no one has as much invested in your dream as you so if I wanted to make some shit happen. I had to take control. Now, I choose the production, write the lyrics, choose the artists, arrangements, mixing, all that and then I control the release and that way I am in charge of the trajectory of my art.” Zo Duncan said.

What’s next?

Zo is still building his catalog. He is thoroughly enjoying his creative journey as an artist.

“Right now, I’m aiming at film and tv sync as well as doing heavy promo for the EP. I have the urge to drop new music every day, but I want to continue to nurture this project while it’s in the spotlight. My team just finished production on the Birthday Dance music video, so I want to let that shine a bit before making any sudden moves.”

The best is yet to come. He is thrilled and proud but not complacent because he believes an artist should always have the hunger and urge to do more and achieve more.
