Kameko Tarnez is an international name that many are familiar with. Most people will remember him from his collaborations with icons such as Michael Jackson, Erykah Badu, Grace Jones, and other notables. However, after many successful international tours, and chart topping euro dance hits, Kameko took a break from performing to work behind the scenes. During this hiatus, Kameko and his billionaire investment partners formed Archrok entertainment. Together they have successfully produced several films and invested $30 million into part one of the Egyptian trilogy film “Protector of the Gods,” which is written and directed by Kameko Tarnez. This is an afro-futuristic sword and sorcery film set in ancient Kemet. The trilogy was deemed by GQ and Glamour Magazine as being “Hollywood’s First All-Black Egypt Film”. Two of the projects lead Producers are Singer, actress Rhonda Ross and Actor, Philanthropist Hill Harper.
To ensure that the films on screen magic is fully captured, Kameko and the Archrok team have joined creative forces with costume concept designer Phillip Boutte Jr, known for his work on Black Panther, Maleficent and Star Wars, etc. The visual effects (VFX) team is helmed by award-winning VFX director Pete Polyakov, who worked on Mad Max: Fury Road, Interstellar, Batman vs. Superman and more. Due to production delays caused by covid-19, principal photography for the film was put on hold. Nonetheless, The Archrok team is now set to release a limited-edition “Protector of the Gods” comic book and a hyperrealism 3-D comic series. The comic book will be released first in Egypt and Dubai Summer 2022 and in the U.S. fall 2022.
Aside from Kameko being a talented artist and savvy businessman, he’s also very familiar with the crypto world. In fact, Kameko recently announced a late February 2022 reveal of his music visual NFT. The NFT project will be a second installment to his single “Get Up”, which was released last year during Black History Month. We are really looking forward to seeing what next for Kameko and his Archrok team!
