Nike unveiled their new Black History Month collection. These collections have been celebrating Black heritage and Black employees since 2005, with the objective of raising awareness, motivating athletes, and igniting conversation and action to effect positive change. The Nike Air Force 1 Low FM By You is at the heart of this year’s collection, with three unique palettes made by Black artists.

NIKE, Inc.’s $140 million Black Community Commitment, which invests in organizations focused on social justice, education innovation, and economic opportunity for Black people, has recently revealed its national and local grantees for 2022. The new national grantee recipients include Son of A Saint, All Star Code, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, in the education innovation space, as well as the Equal Justice Initiative, focused on social justice reform.

This year, $2.75 million was invested locally in 44 organizations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Memphis, St. Louis, and Boston.


On February 22, a new episode of the Nike Future Movement Broadcast will be released. The FM Broadcast series, led by global civil rights campaigner Janaya Future Khan, aims to elevate diverse, visionary voices who are driving change and creating a brighter future for their communities. Olympians Simone Manuel, Ibtihaj Muhammad, and Dr. John Carlos will examine the systemic and personal intersections of sport and activism with Janaya in Episode 5 of the series.
