Who Is Denim Nicole? Meet the Singer-Songwriter Who’s Taking Over

Music soothes the soul when words fail to heal. It not only makes you dance, but it also vibrates memories and connects with your life to make you feel you are not alone. 18-year-old rising music artist Denim Nicole realized the power of music as early as 11 when she started writing songs. Gifted with natural talent, Denim would have hugged the spotlight in 2015 when her talent was recognized, but no one supported her dreams. Now she is 18 and is set to take on the world on her own terms. She is re-recording all the songs she wrote in the past and will soon be seen as a sought-after artist in the music industry for her fresh and unique music.

Denim Nicole is a songwriter and rapper. Although she loves to pen her own lyrics and even raps, Denim doesn’t want to box in her talent. In the future, she wants to explore her passion for music in several ways beyond song lyrics and rapping. Denim’s story starts from an early age when she was introduced to a family friend who was connected to the music industry. She is a born performer and quickly impressed him by singing her first song, “Done With the Bullies.”

This eventually led her to meet music producers like Donn Rob and OzTheWizard, who had worked with artists like The KidLAROI, G Herbo, Lil Durk, Juice WRLD, etc. They helped Denim hone her craft and become a better singer. She even recorded several songs with them. Back then, Denim was so passionate about music that she could create a hit song from anything that caught her attention. From compliments to criticism, she could turn anything into a song with a strong message.

In 2019, Denim accomplished a milestone when her first release “Lemonade” premiered on BET Jams in August 2018. The song was a befitting reply to haters and trollers in a fun and humorous way. It was something that people could relate to and feel that they were not alone. The song is a reflection of Denim’s real-life experiences with bullies after her parents got divorced. Unfortunately, Denim’s song was meant to rotate on BET Jams for at least a month, but it only aired for 3 days and nothing was said or done by her label’s CEO about her music after that. So, no one talked about her song.

Since then, Denim kept writing songs and recording, but none of her songs were released. In 2020, she finally decided to stop relying on this family friend to give her copies of her music and take the reins of her career herself. Even a year after she requested he return the original recordings of her songs, she received nothing. This broke her self-confidence to an extent where Denim even stopped writing for a while. However, her brother, aka SpaceKillem, supported her, and they started creating music together.

Now at 18, Denim is prepared to find her audience on her own. She’s expanded her knowledge of other music genres, including alternative rock, rap, and hip-hop, to make foot-tapping tracks like “I know,” “Goku,” and “Wasted.” These songs are likely to drop in May this year, and Denim is excited about them. She is still in the process of recording all her previous songs and is optimistic that her fans will love them.

Denim’s music is a breath of fresh air amidst all the noise. She knows how to express a strong message while keeping it fun and enthralling. This is where Denim sets herself apart from other artists, creating music that will soon become her identity in the world.
