Born in Castricum, BoydHoek was raised in Amsterdam. BoydHoek had a keen interest in music from the head start. Discovering music in every sound is a rare talent that is attained by a few. He calls himself a musical person and exploring new sounds from various cultures was one of his hobbies which he loved to do. Initially, he aspired to be a DJ, and made mixes for 8 years. Then, to be more perfect in what he does he learned music production in FL studio first and then shifted towards Ableton. Finally, he ended up forming his own mini-studio at his place. He took music seriously and never stopped learning from everywhere he could. Once he was ready he was on for the game.
BoydHoek shared that it is challenging for an Independent artist to reach such a level. It takes a lot of constant struggle, sleepless nights, long hours at the studio, and then your hard work pays off. Adding to it, BoydHoek says that dedication and perseverance is the only key. You should keep believing in yourself and your fire to keep going should never be neglected. 10 years ago, it was very arduous for BoydHoek to showcase his work to the World. He also says that it is very easy now to be heard and found by distributing tracks on different platforms but at his time it was burdensome.
His latest release “Life Is a trip” was one of the exciting tracks he ever released by taking his creativity to another level with his Techno Track and imprinting a part of him into his sound. He wants to put forward the feelings, thoughts of the people and wants to connect them to the spirit of the song.
