Hennessy and the NBA collaborated on the latest installment of “Courts Beyond Limits,” a series of famous court settings around the world in honor of the NBA Playoffs in 2022 and the league’s 75th Anniversary Season. Check out the incredible drone footage from the activation below.
On the beautiful Sydney Harbour, Hennessy and the NBA debuted Australia’s first floating basketball court. Hennessy and the NBA have unveiled first-of-their-kind basketball courts at renowned sites throughout the world as part of the Courts Beyond Limits series. Courts Beyond Limits made its debut in Bondi’s Icebergs Ocean Pool in May 2021, followed by pop-up courts in London and Shanghai.
The sleek monochromatic pop-up court contrasted with Sydney’s natural surroundings of crystal blue sea and renowned harbour views. As the sun dropped, the court transformed into a neon-lit celebration, complete with a surprise performance by FERG against the gorgeous Sydney Harbour backdrop. On display was the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, which is given to the champion of the NBA Finals every year.
