An Arizona congressman has introduced a congressional resolution to pressure the Russian government to release WNBA star Brittney Griner.
Democratic Representative Greg Stanton is sponsoring the resolution along with Texas Democrats Sheila Jackson Lee and Colin Allred. It would urge the U.S. government to do everything it can to secure Griner’s release.

The 31-year-old center for the Phoenix Mercury was arrested in Moscow in February after airport security claimed to find vape cartridges with cannabis-derived oil in her luggage.
