As part of its Titanium Service, USPA has expanded their concierge-style protection service for celebrities and high-net-worth individuals. Prior to the launch of the Titanium service line, USPA prepared teams of highly trained individuals to respond to last-minute concierge calls from Centurion card holders.

In plain sight, USPA’s Titanium Service has been protecting high-net-worth individuals for many years, but the vast majority of people may not have been aware of its existence. There is a good chance that you have unknowingly encountered team members of USPA’s Titanium Service if you have visited A-list resorts such as Eden Rock in St. Barts, Villa D’Este in Lake Como, Italy or Velassaru Maldives. With its highly clandestine security advance, counter-attack, and counter-surveillance teams as well as its leads and escort teams, security drivers and even medics, this highly subtle team is both effective in terms of providing protection and invisible to the untrained eye.

VIPs and high-net-worth individuals: Risk Mitigation

Recently, Los Angeles was reminded of the heightened risk involved in the status and wealth of public figures. Just last month, rapper PnB Rock was killed in an armed robbery. “In addition to our executive protection division, our Titanium service also performs strategic risk assessments and advanced planning for celebrity clients, long before they arrive at events or even for last-minute dinners,” explained USPA’s Vice President and Titanium Program Administrator, Brian Fitzgibbons. Before our principal (protected person) arrives, we need to check what we refer to as “off the record” movements and place a static surveillance operator. Off the record movements are last-minute stops that are not part of the preplanned route that team members follow. It is common for celebrity clients, particularly younger pop stars, to change their plans frequently throughout the day. From a Manhattan office, a 24-hour command center oversees and tracks the entire operation. Titanium teams often operate from areas in which autonomous drones capture live video feeds and transmit the data to the command center.
