According to a confirmed report from MSN, Inglewood, CA-based rapper Latauriisha O’Brien aka Half Ounce was gunned down in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles. He was 33 years old.
O’Brien was walking down the street on the phone with his wife when he was shot. According to the report, the gunman pulled up to the 700 block of South New Hampshire Avenue in a dark SUV Monday night. The shooter let off about “seven to thirty rounds of gunfire” before fleeing the scene. Officers from the LAPD found Half Ounce lying inside a planter box on the ground, near an apartment complex. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The “Gangbangin” rapper was pronounced dead on the scene.

The LAPD has not revealed any motives or suspects in the killing.
