Sangstaa went viral over the summer following footage of the emerging star performing in front of a sold-out crowd in San Francisco. Now, he capitalizes on the popularity with the release of his much-anticipated EP about love and heartbreak called You’re All I Know.
For the formal introduction to a worldwide audience, the Raleigh, North Carolina native unveils a nine-song effort that addresses the internal and external struggles in a relationship with an experimental infusion of R&B, Rap, and Alternative Pop. The project includes standout tracks “DWMU!,” “Comfortable,” and the latest video, “Still In Love,” which Sangstaa released as lead-up singles to project arrival.
The project was inspired by a recent heartbreak, using his struggles as the fuel for his music, revolving around themes of internal battles, resisting temptations, and staying focused within a whirlwind of emotions. Whether it’s love, life, loss, the hunger for success, or the perils that come with it, Sangstaa is able to illustrate these themes in catchy earworm melodies amongst bright acoustic soundscapes created by his guitar.
For newfound fans, Sangstaa displays signs of future greatness as he expresses that no matter the love loss, he will still prevail in today’s music. “We’re able to turn this pain into something beautiful,” Sangstaa said. “I know I’m going to make it. This is what I was meant to do.”
Upon You’re All I Know‘s release, Sangstaa joins popular Korean star G-Star’s North American tour. Check out the videos to “Still In Love” and “DWMU!” above and the new project, out now via its own imprint, below.
