The Culinary Creative Group and Bourbon Whiskey brand joined forces before the holiday season for an extravagant pop-up experience filled with Cabernet Cask cocktails and delectable bites. Ghetto Gastro’s mission to fight against food insecurity this holiday season took center stage as philanthropy continues to remain one their most passionate pursuits.

While attendees enjoyed libations and high vibrations, they got a chance to purchase Ghetto Gastro’s new cookbook, “Black Power Kitchen.” The book consists of 75 recipes filled with personal stories and photos of work by Black artists such as Kerry James Marshall, Theaster Gates, and Barkley L. Hendricks, and interviews with taste-making Black thinkers.

100 percents of the book’s proceeds will be matched by I.W. Harper to support the Bruckner Mott Haven Community Garden to provide warm meals to those in need this season.

Both Jon Gray and Pierre Serrao are extremely proud of the year that Ghetth Gastro has had.

“A lot was accomplished this year, but we have something big coming in 2023,” said Gray.

While the two kept the surprise sealed, followers and supporters of the collective can only anticipate what happens next in the eccentric journey and legacy of Ghetto Gastro.
