Named after his son, the 13-track project details the Dallas native’s rags-to-riches story with slick-talking lyrics, a larger-than-life persona, and tailor-made production. Alongside the string of hit singles, the newcomer assembles a small guestlist of fellow Texans and the new generation of hip-hop stars in SauceWalka, Erica Banks, and Tay Money.

And with “Safehouse” and “Texas,” Amar delivers standout solo tracks-to-soon-to-be chart-topping hits in “Primetime,” “Levels,” and “Dream.” The debut is BigXThaPlug’s first under United Master. He signed with the Steve Stoute-owned outfit in 2021.

This week, Amar debuted at #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.

BigXThaPlug is scheduled to be the opening act for this year’s annual Erykah Badu’s birthday concert and will perform on the southern dates of the upcoming Key Glock’s Glockoma 2 tour presented by Live Nation.
