Boosie Badazz adds a verse to Alabama-based singer Alexia Jayy’s 2023 rendition of her TikTok hit single “I Need A Man” following the drop of his Valentine’s Day-themed mixtape Lines for Valentines. The most recent version of the Kodak Black-endorsed James “Jay Lyriq” Cohen and Abraham Poythress-produced ballot strikes the ideal balance between ratchetness and righteousness.
“This record for me is about being OK with the fact that I wanted something different and genuine,” Alexia Jayy said of the single. “Something that makes me happy. I feel like a lot of people are afraid to talk about the things they need. We don’t really talk about needing a man or needing anybody. I wanted people to understand that it’s OK to want love for themselves. It’s OK to want somebody to treat you the way you’re supposed to be treated.”
