Gemtracks Releases Subscription Platform For Music Producers

Music creator platform, Gemtracks, known for their beat marketplace has released their latest feature – a tool for music producers to sell beats, loops, and samples using a subscription model.

The Gemtracks platform was founded in Los Angeles by Jesse Neo and Milana Leybovich who have worked for major companies like Disney and MTV before deciding to start their own music-technology company. Jesse, who was also a fresh Computer Science doctorate graduate, utilized his skills to develop the website from the ground up.

For the past few years, upcoming singers and rappers have been able to purchase exclusive beats for their music and receive the copyright and intellectual property too. This means buyers won’t need to pay royalties or credit the original producer.

However, seeing a change in market demands, the company is experimenting with a new subscription model.

“We recently discovered that many of our buyers are also music producers interested in using custom loops and samples in their own productions,” Jesse explained. “Because each loop and sample are less than a minute long, and given the fact each song can contain several loops and samples, it was concluded the most effective way for sellers to offer these tracks was using a subscription model.”

Rest assured that the existing Gemtracks beat marketplace is not going anywhere. In fact, it is encouraged for buyers to check out the beats first before deciding who to subscribe to.

“We still want artists to start by browsing the beats up for sale,” Jesse continued. “If there is a seller that really stands out, we encourage the buyer to check out the seller’s profile and see if the seller offers additional tracks for their subscribers only. If so, then the artist may consider subscribing.”

Based on reviews on Gemtracks, many artists and bands have already been using beats in their songs with positive results. Some of these success stories include David Houle, Pat Uwaje-King and David Xandre.

For artists that are unable to fork out on an exclusive beat, there is also a section with royalty-free music that can be used in any project and is also free of charge. These types of music can be used in song releases, as well as media presentations such as videos and PowerPoint slides. The only requirement is for the user to credit Gemtracks.

Other than offering beats, Gemtracks also let customers get the chance to hire freelancers, book recording studios, and pitch their released music to popular Spotify playlists. For those new to the game, a resource section offers databases, guides and tools to help and inspire newbies to navigate the music industry.

As of 2023, Gemtracks boasts more than 20,000 registered members and 20,000 daily visitors.

“Seeing how the internet has allowed music producers and artists to collaborate and create new songs have really changed how the industry works,” Jesse said excitedly. “I aim to continue innovating in this field and allow artists from all over the world to access the best production for their music, while also helping them make a sustainable living.”
