The New York Jets signed Trevor Siemian to their practice squad. The signing comes after Siemian was dropped from the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason.
Siemian now joins a quarterback locker room with Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle. So far this season, Wilson has four interceptions across the first three games. Against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Siemian only totaled 157 yards in the 15-10 loss.
Jets are planning to add to their QB room: Veteran QB Trevor Siemian is signing with the Jets, pending a physical, per sources.

Siemian’s signing comes after Colin Kaepernick attempted to make the New York Jets practice squad. Hitting Instagram, Kaepernick’s friend J. Cole released a letter from Kaep to the Jets’ General Manager, Joe Douglas.
The Jets instead chose to sign Trevor Siemian who ::checks notes:: is 31 years old, and hasn’t won a game since 2017.

But sure, Colin isn’t playing because it’s a ✌🏾football decision✌🏾 https://t.co/rtCoNrx7il
“I asked Colin @kaepernick7 if I could share this letter with the world. He was reluctant,” Cole wrote. “My argument was that I believe the people and all organizations should know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play. And always has. In the end, he agreed to let me.”
Kaepernick detailed how his abilities could prep the Jets’ defense for future games against mobile quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Jalen Hurts in the letter. Kaep also stated he was not attempting to undermine the current starting quarterback, Zach Wilson.
