CT’s Own Idiot Jerk Talks Reality Rap, Exposing A Battle Rapper And The Streets vs. Entertainment

CT’s Idiot Jerk talks about how his Holdwater Brand was built solely off of Integrity and how his mission is to bring back “reality rap” to the hip hop culture. After being acquitted on all charges against him, Jerk breaks down how coming home after being locked down for three years and then getting indicted four years after that taught him to take his time with putting out his type of music.

Jerk contends that “the hip hop police is real” and “ratting is at an all time high”, so instead of misleading the youth with all the façadrs, Jerk will make it his business to change the false narrative for the next generations to come. When asked how many of the rappers are really what they rap about, IJ puts a big emphasis on “none of them”. In reference to when he exposed a battle rapper, Idiot Jerk speaks about how the majority of the industry ignored the facts and used excuses like, “This not the streets, This is the entertainment business.” Do you have to be as real as you say you are in your music? “Yes”, Idiot Jerk says, adding, “and that’s what I’m here for. If your story doesn’t add up to what you are saying, then you’re a fraud.”
