Remember Eddie Murphy in the first “Beverly Hills Cop” when he first went to the police station and commented how nice it was? Well, Tiffany Haddish dished on her experience in the station in 90210. Let’s start from the beginning … During her appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on June 12 the comedian explained that after a long Thanksgiving Day of serving food to the homeless, exercising, and preparing collard greens, she celebrated with her family before bringing leftovers to a “rich friend” who had fired their chef.

“I’ve learnt a valuable lesson, I should have sent it in an Uber or sent someone else to take it there but I wanted to take it there myself because I felt like there was [an] opportunity to talk business so I went in and I did have a drink and I was very sleepy,” Haddish said.

Haddish explained how her Tesla’s self-driving feature works, saying, “If you start to get drowsy or, you know, your eyes are closed for too long, your head bobbing or you’re not like moving or anything, it will pull over and park the car in such a way to get you help because it thinks that you may have had a seizure, you might have died or something like that.” She humorously added, “I’m not sure if that’s true, but from what I read, and from my court case, that’s true.”

Get this, after blowing a .03 when approached by the police, Haddish was taken to jail. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “I’m gonna tell you right now, if I ever commit a crime ever in life, if I decide to commit one, I’m only doing it in Beverly Hills. I’m sorry Beverly Hills. I gotta tell him. Most beautiful police station I’ve ever been in in my life.”

Haddish described the Beverly Hills jail as having clean toilets, respectful officers, and sparkling water from the sink. Despite starting her menstrual cycle while in custody and finding the toilet paper inadequate, Haddish praised the availability of a call button and the “biggest” maxi pad she had ever seen, which she described as “so comfortable, so fluffy.”

Now things are different and more sober … In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Haddish discussed her sobriety, stating, “Well, first of all, I don’t crave it,” referring to alcohol. She keeps candy on hand to curb any desires for a drink, saying, “I always have a little piece of candy, a Jolly Rancher or something. I just drink a ginger beer, put a little cranberry juice in there. Hey, she good to go.”

Haddish also released a collection of essays titled “I Curse You With Joy” and a new pop single called “Woman Up.”
