On August 5, Comcast NBCUniversal and USA Basketball hosted “A Celebration of Olympic Basketball,” bringing together the members of the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Basketball National Teams ahead of the Knockout Round games. The event, held in honor of USA Basketball’s 50th anniversary, was hosted by Comcast NBCUniversal Chairman and CEO Brian Roberts and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

The celebration featured a surprise performance by Snoop Dogg, who brought the women’s team onstage for an unforgettable moment. Attendees included every member of the 2024 U.S. Men’s and Women’s squads, such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Diana Taurasi, A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart. NBA and WNBA legends and Olympic gold medalists Carmelo Anthony, Andre Iguodala, Chris Mullin, Gary Payton, Dwyane Wade, and Sue Bird also graced the event with their presence.

In addition to the athletes, the event saw notable guests from various fields, including Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. Henson, Sunisa Lee, and Ego Nwodim, adding to the evening’s prestige and excitement.
