Of course, Terry Crews returns to voice Julius, Chris’ father, known for his hard work ethic and extreme frugality. Tichina Arnold reprises her role as Rochelle, Chris’ strong and no-nonsense mother. The voice cast includes Tim Johnson Jr. as Young Chris, Ozioma Akagha as his sister Tonya, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as his brother Drew, and Gunnar Sizemore as his best friend Greg.
Behind the animation, this show is being produced by CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Productions and Chris Rock Enterprises. The series brings back key figures from the original “Everybody Hates Chris,” which ran from 2005 to 2009. Sanjay Shah serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Chris Rock, co-creator Ali LeRoi, and several others from Titmouse, the animation studio behind the show.
