TDE’s Punch Highlights Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Integrity’ for Leaving “Not Like Us” Off ‘GNX’

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is cemented as a Record and Song of the Year, along with one of the best diss songs of all time. But why did it not make it on the GNX album?

According to TDE’s Terrence “Punch” Henderson, K. Dot decided to leave the single in the battle and highlighted his “Integrity.”

Punch said to Billboard, “That record was for the battle. The album was a separate thing. Could have put it on there to boost overall sales but chose to leave it for what it was. Integrity.”

Kendrick Lamar took home both Record of the Year and Song of the Year with “Not Like Us,” his iconic tear down of Drake from their 2024 battle.

Already on an impressive run with the song, Lamar took on Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and others for both awards.

Diana Ross presented the Song of the Year trophy to Lamar. Miley Cyrus handed Record of the Year.
