SEE IT: Ye Backtracks “Nazi” Remarks After Inexcusable Anti-Semitic Outbursts on X

Oh, Ye, when will it all just stop. The artist formerly known as Kanye West, has reappeared on X (formerly Twitter), and this time, he is retracting some of his previous, highly controversial statements. Full stop, ftr Ye was reportedly, actually banned on X due to posting too much porn not the bigotry. What a world we’re in.

But on February 19, Ye tweeted, “After further reflection I’ve come to the realization that I’m not a Nazi,” a quick and unexpected reversal from his earlier remarks. This tweet came amid a series of posts where Ye had been thanking Adam Sandler for his support and discussing various unrelated topics like hermaphrodites, without any clear context for his change of heart.

This erratic shift in tone follows a wild period for the Yeezy mogul, marked by a string of nasty anti-Semitic comments and behavior that led to widespread backlash. Ye had previously faced severe consequences for his actions, including promoting swastika merchandise on his Yeezy website, being sued by a Jewish employee, and losing support from his talent agency, 33&West. Additionally, his website was shut down for violating Shopify’s terms, and longtime collaborator Ty Dolla $ign publicly denounced him. This combination of legal and financial setbacks may have prompted Ye to reassess his recent rhetoric.

Just weeks ago, Ye was unrepentant, posting inflammatory messages on X like, “FK ALL OF YOUR FK A** UNFAIR BUSINESS DEALS [ANY] JEWISH PERSON THAT DOES BUSINESS WITH ME NEEDS TO KNOW I DON’T LIKE OR TRUST ANY JEWISH PERSON.” He went on to assert that he would never apologize for his anti-Semitic remarks, even after offering an apology in December 2023. “I CAN SAY WHATEVER THE FK I WANNA SAY FOREVER,” he continued in a now-deleted post. “WHERES MY FKING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS, SUCK MY D**K, HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY?”

Disgusting.

West’s unpredictable behavior has only escalated since then, with his rants peaking during the weekend of Super Bowl LIX. He took aim at Kendrick Lamar for performing at the Super Bowl halftime show, despite the rapper’s past assault allegations. Ye questioned why Lamar was celebrated, while Diddy faced his own serious legal accusations. Charlamagne Tha God speculated that West’s outbursts were driven by jealousy over Lamar’s success. “We do realize Kanye has been acting out all week because he’s envious of Kendrick’s moment, right?” Charlamagne said on The Breakfast Club. “He wishes this was him… Kanye wishes that was him in this moment, so he’s been doing all these antics for attention all week.”

With Ye now walking back his earlier “Nazi” comments, it remains to be seen how his public image will evolve. His recent reflections could mark a shift in his approach, but with his track record of unpredictable behavior, it’s unclear whether this is the start of a new, more measured phase or another temporary change of heart.

If you ask us, too little, too late.
