Ne-Yo is under fire yet again, this time from his former partner, Sade Bagnerise, for openly embracing his polyamorous lifestyle in the presence of their young children.
This is a touchy subject. But let’s get into it, anyway …
ICYMI, the Grammy-winning artist and songwriter, has recently made headlines for publicly flaunting his polyamorous relationships with three girlfriends—and even hinting at a fourth. That part.
During an appearance on the Ricky Smiley Morning Show, Ne-Yo defended his unconventional approach to love and family, stating that he is transparent with his kids about his relationships.
“And she gonna make you some cereal, and she gonna cook lunch, and she gonna wash the clothes, and it’s all good,” Ne-Yo explained. “It’s family, it’s community. That’s what it’s about.”
A ha.
However, Bagnerise, the mother of two of Ne-Yo’s children, was far from impressed. Taking to Instagram Stories, she unleashed her frustration, calling his behavior “disgusting parenting” and accusing him of disregarding her wishes.
Yikes.
“Didn’t I tell your corny ass not to have that s### going on in front of my kids? Do that cornball s### on YOUR OWN TIME,” she wrote. She went on to describe his lifestyle as “sick” and labeled him “weird,” insisting that she would not allow their children to be exposed to such dynamics.
As for Ne-Yo, he has not directly responded to Bagnerise’s comments, he recently addressed critics of his polyamorous lifestyle in a defiant Instagram post. Sharing a selfie with a smirk, he wore a T-shirt that read, “Fun fact: I don’t care,” alongside a caption that read, “Them: ‘NE-YO, WE DON’T APPROVE OF YOUR POLY RELATIONSHIP.’”
There you have it.
