Drake Delays Final Concerts of Anita Max Win Tour Due to Scheduling Conflict

Drake’s highly successful Anita Max Win Tour across Australia and New Zealand will come to a brief halt. The rapper has been forced to postpone the remaining dates due to a “scheduling conflict.”

The 6God has been spending much of the month performing overseas, but his victory lap will temporarily pause, leaving fans waiting for the rescheduled shows.

Drake’s team confirmed to Rolling Stone, explaining the situation: “Due to a scheduling conflict, four of Drake’s 16 sold-out shows in Australia and New Zealand will be postponed. We are actively working on rescheduling these dates and adding some additional shows. All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale.”

Sincerely apologizing for the inconvenience, Drizzy’s team expressed appreciation for his fans’ patience and reflected on the excitement of his international trek, which has generated a wealth of social media content. The rapper has made it clear that he doesn’t want to wait another eight years before returning to Australia, leaving fans hopeful that the postponed dates will soon be rescheduled.

This delay is a slight setback for Drake, who has had a stellar month. On Valentine’s Day, the Toronto icon released $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, a collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. The 21-track project, featuring Chino Pacas, Yebba, and Pimmie, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and moved 246,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

ICYMI, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U marked Drake’s 14th No. 1 album, tying him with JAY-Z and Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums, behind only The Beatles, who hold the record with 19. For PARTYNEXTDOOR, it was his first No. 1 album and the biggest first-week sales of his career, far surpassing the 50,000 units his previous projects, P3 (2016) and PARTYMOBILE (2020) achieved.

Moreover, on the Billboard Hot 100, Drake’s solo tracks “Gimme A Hug” and “Nokia” were charted at No. 6 and No. 10, respectively. The collaboration-heavy “CN Tower,” featuring both artists, peaked at No. 18, while Yebba also reached her highest position on the chart with “Die Trying,” currently sitting at No. 21.
