The Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to six games with a hard-fought 108-102 victory over the Clippers in the latest Battle of LA. Luka Dončić led the charge with 29 points, five three-pointers, and nine assists, while LeBron James added 17 points and nine assists.

James, now just one point shy of reaching 50,000 combined career points across the regular season and playoffs, also secured his 1,000th regular-season win, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Robert Parish, and Tim Duncan in the exclusive club.

The Lakers’ defense held strong in the final moments, with James delivering a signature chase-down block in the final 30 seconds to secure the win. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 33 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Lakers’ balanced attack.

With the victory, the Lakers moved past Denver to claim the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, their highest post-All-Star break standing since March 2021. Dončić continues to thrive in his first stretch with the team, averaging 26.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 7.6 assists over his last five games.

Dončić also joined James as the only Lakers to record 175+ points, 50+ rebounds, and 50+ assists in their first eight games with the franchise. The Lakers will look to keep the momentum going as they push toward the playoffs.
