Owen Wilson Stars In Upcoming Rolling Loud Film Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Sexyy Red And Others

Owen Wilson is set to star in an upcoming Rolling Loud feature film, with a cast that includes hip-hop heavyweights Ty Dolla $ign, Sexyy Red, and Ski Mask The Slump God. Legendary actor Henry Winkler is also attached to the R-rated comedy, which is currently in production.

According to a new press release on Tuesday (March 4), filming began at Rolling Loud Miami in December and has continued in Atlanta. The film’s synopsis reveals a wild and unpredictable adventure:

“Inspired by a true story, Rolling Loud follows an overprotective father (Wilson) who makes a bold parenting decision when he sneaks his 13-year-old son into the world’s largest hip-hop music festival. What ensues is a chaotic adventure with his reckless co-worker (Matt Rife) and an eccentric festival volunteer as they navigate wild crowds, security, and their own family dynamics,” according to Deadline.

A viral moment from last year’s Rolling Loud captured Wilson standing entranced in the festival crowd while watching Sexyy Red perform. The clip made the rounds on social media, prompting a playful response from the Pound Town rapper: “Dats my baby Owen [kissing cat emojis].”

Wilson was a prominent presence at the festival, even making a surprise appearance during Travis Scott’s headlining set. In one energetic moment, the 56-year-old actor hyped up the crowd before Scott performed “FE!N”, exclaiming into the mic, “I’m fiending for more!”

Leaked footage has hinted at Travis Scott filming a potential cameo for the project, though his official involvement has yet to be confirmed.
