Mary J. Blige Radio Launches on SiriusXM During Women’s History Month

Here’s something we did not have on our bingo card: Mary J. Blige is taking over SiriusXM, but only for a short time. The iconic artist has launched a special pop-up radio station called Mary J. Blige Radio to commemorate Women’s History Month. This limited-time channel, curated and hosted by Blige herself, will run from March 4 to April 2 and be available on the SiriusXM app. Additionally, it will be accessible on CarPlay via channel 79 from March 18 to March 24.

The groundbreaking new channel will showcase Blige’s powerful and emotional catalog, along with music from other legendary artists and rising stars who share her commitment to impactful music. Expect to hear tracks from acts like Anita Baker, Lauryn Hill, Victoria Monét, Ella Mai, and Summer Walker, all celebrated for their contributions to music and culture. Beyond the music, Blige will share exclusive personal stories and insights into her career and the artists who have influenced her sound.

“I always say, without them there is nothing,” the 54-year-old singer reflected. “When I reached out to them on the ‘My Life’ album, I said, ‘I’m going through hell. I need somebody to love me.’ I want somebody to this, I was begging for this, begging for that, begging for something to love me other than myself. They reached out and said, ‘Mary, we are going through it and we are healing too.’ If it weren’t for them, there would be none of this. So my fans are like extremely important. They’re number one when it comes to this right here. And so I’m grateful, you know, to have my fans. I’m thankful to God for people that actually are paying attention to me because there was a time in my life where I didn’t think I was gonna be anything at all.”

In addition to launching her SiriusXM station, Blige is on the road for her For My Fans tour alongside Mario and Ne-Yo. As part of her ongoing success, Blige recently reflected on her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, calling it “one of the most amazing moments in my career.”
