Houston legend Bun B is bringing fashion flair to the rodeo with a bold new capsule collection in partnership with Crown Royal and PURPLE BRAND. Unveiled during his Birthday Bonanza concert at the 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™, the exclusive line merges classic Western heritage with modern streetwear, celebrating both Houston culture and the spirit of generosity.
The collaboration is a natural evolution of Bun B’s two-year partnership with Crown Royal and his ongoing creative relationship with PURPLE BRAND co-founder Luke Cosby, who has styled the rapper for all four of his RODEOHOUSTON® performances since 2022. For this year’s show, Bun B rocked a custom stage look: a premium leather vest made from ostrich and suede, complete with rhinestone embellishments, paired with a dramatic trench featuring tassels and screen print details. That signature style served as the inspiration for the capsule collection.
“The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has been an important part of my life forever and it’s like no other place. It’s where you see the best of Houston culture come together and showcase all the unique facets of our community,” Bun B shared. “Performing at the Rodeo is an honor, and I love every aspect of creating that show. I look forward to my on-stage look every year and trust PURPLE will create something that I love. Being able to bring two brands I respect together to form this unique look and create a collection inspired by those looks, made this Rodeo even more special.”
Now available at PURPLE BRAND’s Houston Galleria location and launching online March 11, the collection includes three standout pieces. The Bun B Signature Poncho, woven from 100% wool, recreates the piece the rapper wore on stage in 2024. A graphic tee delivers a modern rodeo vibe with gold foil details, while the Jeff Hamilton Varsity Jacket, made from premium wool and leather, honors classic rodeo fashion with Crown Royal branding and luxe chenille patches.

To celebrate the launch, Bun B and Cosby held a Q&A session at PURPLE BRAND’s Houston location, hosted by Arkansas’s first Black Rodeo Queen, Ja’Dayia, offering fans an inside look at the collection’s creation.

While the fashion speaks volumes, the capsule also serves a cause. Net proceeds from the collection, along with donations from Crown Royal’s Purple Bag initiative during the RODEOHOUSTON® Saloon & Showroom experience, will go toward Soldiers’ Angels’ LA Wildfire Relief Fund, supporting veterans affected by recent fires. Crown Royal will contribute up to $25,000.
With this collection, Bun B continues to shape rodeo culture through style and community impact—fusing tradition, innovation, and purpose on one of Houston’s biggest stages.
