Jim Jones says a reconciliation with Cam’ron isn’t in the cards anytime soon. The Dipset co-founder recently addressed their ongoing feud during an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio, making it clear that their relationship is far from mended.
“I don’t want people to think I’m going back and forth, I’m just telling my truth,” Jones said. “In terms of me telling my truth, people feel they need to have a rebuttal… let them do it. People know this is not a battle at all.”
When asked if they still share a brotherhood, Jones shut down the idea: “Nah, it’s definitely no brotherhood. The brotherhood been over damn near since The Diplomats. That was where the brotherhood was at.” He also suggested that making peace is unlikely: “Not right now. Not something I could foresee, but who knows. Right now, it’s about me. I ain’t got time to focus on nothing else and no one else.”
The latest drama between the two began after Cam’ron invited 50 Cent onto his show, Talk With Flee, where they discussed Jones—something Jones later addressed in a sit-down with Justin Laboy. “Them n****s ain’t got nothing else to think about but Capo,” Jones said. “I did a lot for them n****s in their life, ya heard?”
Cam’ron fired back on It Is What It Is, questioning Jones’ Harlem roots and downplaying his role in Dipset’s success. Since then, Jones has responded with a diss track aimed at Cam’ron, further deepening the rift.
Despite the ongoing tension, Jones remains focused on his music, having dropped his eighth solo studio album, At The Church Steps, last month, featuring Fivio Foreign, Dave East, Conway the Machine, and more.
