WATCH: Kerry Washington and Omar Sy Locked and Loaded in First Trailer for ‘Shadow Force’

Lionsgate has unveiled the action-packed first trailer for its thrilling new comedy film Shadow Force, starring Kerry Washington and Omar Sy as former special forces leaders turned fugitives.

In Shadow Force, Washington and Sy portray Kyrah and Isaac, two elite operatives from a covert multinational special forces unit, who defy the rules by falling in love. Forced to go into hiding to protect their son, they now find themselves with a hefty bounty on their heads and relentless enemies hot on their trail.

Sounds interesting.

Mark Strong, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Cliff “Method Man” Smith join the dynamic duo in this high-octane adventure. The film takes audiences on a wild ride as one family’s fight for survival escalates into a full-blown war. That part.

Here’s a glimpse of the plot:

In SHADOW FORCE, Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy) were once the leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force. They broke the rules by falling in love, and in order to protect their son, they go underground. With a large bounty on their heads, and the vengeful Shadow Force hot on their trail, one family’s fight becomes all-out war.

Behind the camera, Shadow Force is directed by Joe Carnahan, who also co-wrote the script with Leon Chills. It is produced by Kerry Washington, Sterling K. Brown, Pilar Savone, and Stephen “Dr.” Love. The film marks an exciting collaboration between Washington and Carnahan, with Washington stepping in as a producer.

Oh wow, the project was initially announced in 2019; Shadow Force had a different direction early on, with Washington and Brown initially set to star. Brown later had to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts, and at one point, Victoria Mahoney was set to direct before Carnahan took over the helm.

Here’s the trailer. Tell us what you think.
