Whelp, somebody said it. Kodak Black recently responded to fans expressing worry about his well-being during an Instagram Live session. When one viewer drew parallels between the Florida rapper and the late DMX, known for his struggles with substance abuse, Kodak had a mixed reaction.
“Man shut the fck up. Definitely aināt going out like DMX,”* Kodak replied. “He a legend, though. Btch Iād rather go out like DMX than go out like⦠[laughs] The fck? Is you dumb? I do be feeling like DMX though a lot of the time.”
Guess he disagreed with the concerns.
The heated exchange comes after podcast hosts Gillie Da King and Wallo shared thoughtful advice with Kodak during a previous conversation. The duo urged him to consider his influence and responsibilities, particularly as a role model for younger fans.
“There are going to be times when you doubt yourself or feel pain, but those babies are counting on you. Youāve got to be here,” Wallo said. “A lot of people see your success and just say āyesā to you. Iām not here to be one of them.”
Get this, Gillie added, “Weāve got to learn to change the narrative. A lot of young people are watching you.”
