Biography & Facts About Artist Fred Bugs: Drawings, Streetwear, Height, Weight, Tattoos and His Opinion About Rap Music

Fred Bugs pseudonym of Federico Cabras is an Italian draftsman and painter considered one of the most promising figurative artists of his generation; the second half of the 1900s.

Each of Fred Bugs’ works is distinctive because of the bright colors used in each of his drawings or canvases, the artist began drawing with pencil and pen on paper mainly geometric projections without a precise pattern and over time to the particular shapes he added his popular figures of small yellow or red dragons in motion on an abstract background.

The artist has studied the history of many abstract figurative artists from the 1800s to the present, adapting his geometric style to European futurism (inspired mainly by French and Italian geometric art;on paper or cardboard) and has perfected the painting technique by studying to Spanish abstract surrealist art and design.

Fred Bugs knows very well that since the postwar period art has become less competitive and more closed only to certain people, intellectual spaces and galleries created by very wealthy people..art suitable only for the wealthy but unfortunately figurative talent and artistic quality are lowered completely.

Today the artist Bugs, also because of his personal charisma,is highly appreciated by so many people even those not related to the art world because everyone recognizes the quality and precision of his way of drawing.

According to Fred Bugs, artistic perfection is achieved by drawing without using drawing tools and other materials such as glued plastic, because in this way the talent of the illustrator and artist is distorted.

Art must remain basic, the great painters before they were recognized drew freehand as they say and that is the true essence of art

When you notice a mistake..a nuance.. in the drawing it pushes you every day to do better every canvas must come from the intuitive and practical talent of the artistic hand.

Now let’s talk about the artist and tell you exclusively about his passions and everything you need to know about him.

The artist is a big fan of Wrestling from the WCW of the 90’ to today’s Wrestling; he has always enjoyed great legendary wrestlers such as Batista,Undertaker,Goldberg and Mark Henry and unlike many people who think it’s all fake the artist knows that often in Wrestling the athletes’ injuries are real and often very painful!

Fashion for Fred Bugs is not important enough to affect his daily life, in fact the artist does not have so many fashion needs in his wardrobe, he grew up wearing nike t-shirts and sneakers and other even cheaper sports brends like Kappa and Puma.

In the main image, the artist is wearing a vintage wwe t shirt by Bill Goldberg and a rare pair of Jordan 3 GG Jaguars EUR 41

The artist is a fan of his native Cagliari, sardinian soccer team and Boca Juniors in the Argentine soccer league.

His favorite athlete is Maradona..considered by Fred Bugs to be the greatest and most iconic soccer player ever, the artist has a tattoo of Maradona on his upper right arm, he also has other tattoos including a shark that reminds him of his great love for marine wildlife and ecosystem.

Fred Bugs over the years has often gone from a dry body condition to a massive one reaching 90kg in late 2024, now his weight is definitely down and more balanced at his height of 5’9,(between 75 and 80kg)

The artist since childhood has always listened to dance music but around the age of 18 or 20 he had the time to listen to rap music…although Fred Bugs is a fan of artists such as Tupac,Notorius B.I.G. ,Big Pun,Big L and especially DMX…his thinking about rap music to date has changed to the origins of hip hop as entertainment disco music and fun improvisation with an MC and a DJ.

HIP HOP is entertainment,it is fun to the beat in front of a beat..it does not represent the ugly misogynistic and anarchic turn from the late 80s until today.

Graffiti has nothing to do with hip hop…writers were vandals scattered among them in different cities and have no correlation with hip hop…hip hop is music made to entertain people first in homes and then in clubs…we should ask a pioneer of hip hop culture like Grandmaster Flash.

The rap of today and the early 2000s does not represent talent but only the power of money and marketing, rap has always been a contest of who had the biggest penis, today’s marketing phenomena know very well that this was not the goal of hip hop…rap and its deviance was not intended by hip hop culture; in fact, many recognize that rap has only led to a culture of violence…this is the opinion of artist Fred Bugs.
