N.O.R.E., the legendary rapper and host of the wildly popular Drink Champs podcast, is speaking out after a recent dining experience turned dangerously uncomfortable when police were allegedly called on him—over a bottle of wine.
Taking to Instagram, the Queens native described what he says was an alarming and racially charged encounter at Houston’s restaurant in North Miami Beach, one of his favorite spots.
“This woman tried to get me killed for ordering an extra bottle of wine,” N.O.R.E. wrote. “Whenever a white woman calls the police on a Black man, their intention is to get a Black man killed.”
According to N.O.R.E., things escalated unnecessarily when he asked for another bottle of wine. Rather than serving the order, the staff involved allegedly called the police—something even the responding officer seemed confused about.
“The police officer himself admitted he was never called over ordering an extra bottle of wine,” he added. “But I’m cool—I paid my check and left.”
N.O.R.E., known for keeping his cool both on and off the mic, noted that he remained calm and collected throughout the ordeal, but the situation still left him disturbed.
In a follow-up investigation of his own, he said he discovered that the employee in question had a pattern of problematic behavior.
“She’s not just racist to Black people,” he said. “She’s racist to Latinos, Russians, Jews—anybody who is not purebred white.”
He included screenshots of negative reviews from other customers and claimed that as he exited the restaurant, he witnessed the same waitress turn away three more Black men.
“Let’s boycott!” N.O.R.E. urged his followers. “Shame on you!”
While the restaurant has yet to publicly comment on the incident, N.O.R.E.’s post quickly sparked discussion online, with many praising him for shedding light on racial profiling in everyday spaces. As a figure with deep roots in both hip-hop and the community, N.O.R.E. continues to use his platform to speak truth—and demand accountability.
As he put it, “She gave me the Karen treatment like a mutha!”
