On Tuesday night, the Pacers eliminated the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers with a 114-105 win to secure their second straight trip to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Tyrese Haliburton powered Indiana’s comeback with 31 points, six rebounds, and eight assists, rallying the Pacers from a 19-point second-quarter hole. Cleveland, desperate to extend its season, stormed out to a 44-25 lead behind its high-octane offense—but the Pacers refused to fold.
Haliburton ignited the rally with five threes in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to one. In the third, he helped spark a 17-2 run to give Indiana its first lead since early in the game. When the Cavs fought back to trim it to a one-point game, the Pacers responded with a final surge, led by Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, and Myles Turner, to close out the series 4-1.
Indiana became the first team since 1998 to record three 19+ point comeback wins in a single postseason—two of which came against Cleveland.
Despite a valiant 35-point effort from Donovan Mitchell and a double-double from Evan Mobley, the Cavaliers exit in the East Semis for the second straight year.
The Pacers now await the winner of the Celtics-Knicks series, with Game 1 of the East Finals set to tip in either Boston or New York.
