The United Justice Coalition (UJC) and Roc Nation have unveiled an expanded speaker lineup and panel topics for the third annual UJC Summit, which will take place May 30 at The Shed in New York City. The free, public event will feature over 30 leaders, experts, and justice advocates tackling the most urgent issues in criminal justice reform.
New additions include UJC Advisor Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Angela Rye, CNN’s Laura Coates, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, and REFORM Alliance CEO Jessica Jackson. Panels will explore topics such as police corruption, prison and parole reform, mental health, and the unique challenges faced by women in the justice system.
Families of victims, including Atatiana Jefferson, Botham Jean, and John Albers, will share their personal stories and call for accountability. A special panel inspired by the Corruption Uncovered podcast will expose abuse within the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.
The summit will also feature a community exhibition space with over 40 advocacy organizations, furthering UJC’s mission to inform, empower, and inspire change.
