Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” Notches 13th Week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s chart-dominating collaboration “Luther” continues its historic run, logging a 13th consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song becomes one of only 15 singles to top the chart for at least that long since the Hot 100’s inception in 1958.

A tribute to the late R&B icon Luther Vandross — who is sampled on the track — “Luther” marks Lamar’s sixth Hot 100 No. 1 and SZA’s third. Despite slight week-over-week dips across metrics, the song remains a force: 63.4 million in radio audience (down 3%), 18.3 million streams (down 5%), and 2,000 digital copies sold (down 13%) in the tracking week of May 9–15.

On genre-specific charts, “Luther” extends its reign with a 21st week atop both Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs. It now ties SZA’s own “Kill Bill” for the third-longest stay at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and sits one week away from matching Lamar’s “Not Like Us” (22 weeks) for the all-time record. On Hot Rap Songs, it stands alone at No. 2 for longest rule, trailing only “Not Like Us” (26 weeks).
