Meek Mill is setting the record straight as headlines continue to swirl around the federal investigation involving music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Taking to social media, the Philly rapper addressed his name being loosely connected to the controversy and what he says he experienced at Diddy’s exclusive events.
“In the midst of Diddy’s federal trial, I want to bring back up Lil Rod and his lawsuit that was dropped,” Meek tweeted. “He never mentioned my name, but these blogs pushed a narrative against me. My culture didn’t believe it, but it was still an attack on my brand. I want to get to the bottom of it!”
The case Meek refers to involves music producer Lil Rod, who previously filed a lawsuit reportedly detailing serious allegations tied to Diddy’s inner circle. Although Meek’s name was not included in the official filing, internet rumors and blog posts created a narrative that, according to him, unfairly impacted his reputation.
Shifting the focus to his own experiences, Meek clarified what he’s seen at the infamous parties thrown by the Bad Boy founder. His statement? Drug use—but nothing beyond what’s typical in the music scene.
“Just to put that on public record… the craziest thing I’ve seen at a Puff party was ‘coke vibes,’” Meek tweeted. “But that happens at all these industry parties. I’m from North Philly—I’ve had millions since I was 23! I don’t even want to be addicted to weed. I’m not judging, but I see it differently.”
