Suge Knight Alleges Dr. Dre Put Cash on His Head: “I got the checks. I got the proof”

Here we go again. Suge Knight is once again leveling serious accusations against his former ally turned rival, Dr. Dre. In a recent interview from behind bars, the former Death Row Records boss claimed that Dre paid twenty thousand dollars to have him killed.

Gotta admit, Suge gets a ton of press for someone who is doing about twenty years in the bing.

Get this, while speaking with Piers Morgan during a conversation that began as a critique of California’s controversial three-strikes sentencing law, Suge shifted the discussion to old tensions with Dre. Locked up on a manslaughter charge, Suge alleged that the system had unfairly stacked charges against him. Then he dropped a bombshell, claiming he had proof that Dre tried to have him eliminated.

“I got the checks. I got the proof. I got the people that came and said, ‘Hey, he paid me to do this,’” Suge said during the televised interview.

What’s more, Knight insisted that multiple people were allegedly armed and prepared, all supposedly paid with money that could be traced back to Dre. He says the paper trail and testimonies from those involved back up his version of events.

Dr. Dre’s team, however, has consistently denied any involvement. Back in 2016, his representatives firmly stated Dre has not spoken to Suge since leaving Death Row Records in 1996. They dismissed Suge’s past allegations as outrageous and baseless, and that position has not changed.

ICYMI, this is not the first time Suge has floated the murder-for-hire claim. Back in 2017, during legal proceedings tied to the death of Terry Carter, Suge’s lawyers referenced a check they claimed was connected to the incident. Dre’s camp shut it down then, too, calling the entire claim “absurd.”

During the same wild interview, Suge also made headlines for addressing the current legal troubles surrounding Diddy. Despite having no love for the Bad Boy mogul, Suge surprised viewers by saying he believes Diddy should beat the ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His take? The courts are getting it wrong again.

Sheesh. Curious, does this entire conversation count as telling? Check out the full interview below, and you’ll be the judge.
