Well, that happened. Fans of 106 & Park felt the absence of Rosci Diaz during the much-anticipated 25th-anniversary reunion at the 2025 BET Awards, and now she’s opening up about why she couldn’t be there. In a heartfelt message to her followers on the Gram, the former co-host got candid about her situation and shared both her regrets and her gratitude.
“I’m so sorry if I let you down. Just know I tried everything possible to be a part of the 106 & Park reunion it really meant a lot to me to be there with my fellow host. 106 was by far the best thing that’s ever happened to my life” Rosci shared via the Gram.
As expected, the reunion was a significant moment for fans of the iconic countdown show that helped shape an era in hip-hop and pop culture. Rosci reminded everyone just how foundational 106 & Park was in her journey.
“106 gave me the tools and foundation to become the TV Host I am today. Also, because of you the livest audience, you are the ones who have kept me relevant all these years later. Your love and support have been fuel for me to keep going and keep advocating for the culture on major platforms,” the statement continued.
Get this, Rosci also hinted at a vast new project that she’s about to launch and made it clear that her absence from the reunion wasn’t by choice.
“On the topic of platforms. I’m currently about to embark on one of the biggest stages of my career. I hope you will support this new project more details coming as soon as I can announce it. So just know it was because of an immediate job opportunity I was unable to take part in the reunion. Thank you for always being there for all my jobs.”
Now for memory lane. Initially hosted by A.J. Calloway and Marie “Free” Wright, 106 & Park later became a launching pad for talents like Terrence J, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Big Tigger, and, of course, Rosci herself. With BET planning a full-circle reunion featuring all the original hosts, the celebration was a moment of nostalgia and love for a show that helped push Hip-Hop into living rooms across America.
See you next time, Rocsi.
