Bricc Baby Says That Luce Cannon Was Never Stabbed In Jail

Bricc Baby is pushing back against a growing rumor that fellow rapper and inmate Luce Cannon was stabbed while in custody. The claims, which spread quickly through outlets like No Jumper and VLAD TV, originated from Cannon’s wife, singer Charisse Mills.

Mills first alleged the incident in a video posted to her YouTube channel, featuring audio from a person she claims is a staff member at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Los Angeles. In the audio, the speaker asserts that Luce Cannon was attacked by five Hispanic inmates. Mills prefaced the audio with a message clarifying that her intent wasn’t to stoke racial tension, stating, “We do not condone any violence and support all. This is NOT a race issue nor intended to divide the Blacks and Browns. This is a call I received yesterday, and I still have not heard from Luce Cannon. I call and they do not tell you anything.”

Mills later followed up with an update, claiming the story had been verified. “The attorney has verified that Luce Cannon was medically treated for a knife wound 6/10/25,” she wrote.

But her version of events was quickly challenged by Luce Cannon’s estranged spouse, Gigi, who uploaded her own video slamming the claim. “Y’all, the cap is real. Charisse Mills is a lie. Luce Cannon was not stabbed. Don’t believe the cap,” Gigi said emphatically.

Adding to the doubt is Bricc Baby himself, who was arrested earlier this year in a sweeping federal indictment alongside Luce Cannon. Both were among more than 10 alleged members of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, who prosecutors say were operating a “mafia-like” criminal enterprise. The charges in the case range from murder and robbery to fraud, extortion, human trafficking, and illegal marijuana operations, and include their alleged leader, Eugene “Big U” Henley Jr.

In a jailhouse phone recording, Bricc Baby outright denies the stabbing claims. “Ain’t no way Luce got stabbed in the middle of a lockdown,” he said. If reports are accurate and Bricc Baby is being held in the same facility as Luce Cannon, his statement may carry added weight.

So far, authorities at MDC Los Angeles have not issued any public confirmation or denial of the incident, and Luce Cannon’s current condition remains unverified.
