Nelly and Ashanti are bringing their love story to the screen. The chart-topping couple has unveiled the official trailer for their new reality show We Belong Together, set to premiere June 26 on Peacock.
The eight-episode docuseries offers an intimate look into their rekindled romance, family dynamics, and life in the spotlight after reuniting two years ago, following a decade apart, and welcoming their first child in 2024. From the trailer, viewers can expect candid moments that cover everything from co-parenting styles and career balancing to major life decisions, such as where to settle down.
The series marks the duo’s first venture into reality TV, and both Nelly and Ashanti serve as executive producers on the project.
In addition to their growing family on screen, the couple also revealed they’re expecting another child. While walking the red carpet at the 2025 iHeartRadio Awards, Ashanti enthusiastically hinted at their plans to expand. “Looking at my baby’s face, it’s just like, ‘Oh, one or two more!’” she shared with E! News. Nelly, meanwhile, responded with his trademark humor, joking that he wasn’t quite as eager.
Their first child, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, was born in July 2024, just months after the couple secretly tied the knot. Ashanti later shared how Kareem’s name was chosen, revealing it was a heartfelt gesture from Nelly. “We were going back and forth for a long time on his name,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “But Nelly was very adamant. Kenkaide is my dad’s name—and since my dad only has daughters, Nelly thought honoring him would be really special.”
