In a moment that has sent ripples of excitement through fan communities, A$AP Rocky may have inadvertently revealed the gender of his and Rihanna’s third child during the world premiere of the “Smurfs” movie in Brussels on Saturday, June 28.
The 36-year-old rapper, who was supporting his partner, 37-year-old Rihanna (who voices Smurfette in the animated film), was put on the spot by Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier. When asked directly, “Is that the girl you’ve been waiting for?” Rocky responded with a broad smile and a telling confirmation: “It is, man, it is.”
He then playfully held up a Smurfette doll, the character his wife portrays, asserting, “Right here, you know what I’m saying? Right here.” While the gesture might have been a playful deflection, his initial emphatic response has left many convinced that a baby girl is on the way for the power couple.
Beyond the gender reveal hint, A$AP Rocky also shared his aspirations for their expanding family, teasing plans to rival the famous “Wayans family,” known for their numerous siblings. “We’re going to be like the Wayans family, you know?” he quipped, referring to the show business family with 10 children. He added, “I mean, love is beautiful, and it’s just spreading it.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are already proud parents to two sons, RZA (3) and Riot (22 months). The news of their third pregnancy was officially announced at the 2025 Met Gala in May, and if Rocky’s recent comments are any indication, their family is set to welcome its first daughter.
