Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be released from prison earlier than previously scheduled as he continues appealing his four-year sentence.
According to Page Six, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has moved Combs’ projected release date from June 4, 2028, to April 25, 2028. The adjustment shortens his incarceration by roughly six weeks.
The change follows Combs’ acceptance into the Residential Drug Abuse Program in November, a federal rehabilitation initiative that can reduce an inmate’s sentence upon successful completion.
A representative for Combs addressed his participation in the program at the time, stating, “Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start. He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change.”
Combs continues to pursue legal options as he challenges the sentence while preparing for his eventual release in 2028.
